THE SKELETAL SYSTEM
The skeletal system is made of bones and blood cells which gives you structure and movement .Your cranium (skull) is one big bone that protects your brain and upper face .Your rib cage is made of twenty four bones in pairs of twelve , your rib cage protects your main organs like your lungs ,liver and heart . Your ribs are attached to your sternum and spine, which is made of thirty-three bones called vertebrae, which are protecting your spinal cord.

Your arms and legs a similar structure, your arms are made of two bones called the radius and ulna .Your legs are made of two bones called the fibula and tibia. The bone in your thigh is called your femur, which is the longest bone in your body; the smallest bone in your body is in your ear its called isosceles.

Your pelvis and hip are made with joints, which allow your body to move. There are two different types of joints called ball and socket and a hinge joint.

Your bones are made of calcium and vitamin D and it is very important to look after your bones. You can get calcium from spinach, chickpeas, almonds, soy, tofu, kale and much more. You can get vitamin D from the sun and from tropical fruits and nutritional yeast.
