The bones are used for protection, structure and movement. On the inside of the bone is the bone marrow. This produces blood cells inside the bone.
There are two categories of bones. There is axial, to keep you upright and appendicular for movement in the bones.
The skull/cranium is a large bone, protecting the brain and also used to structure the face.
The ribcage is used to protect the lungs, liver and heart, the ribcage bones are in pairs. The bones at the top are connected to the vertebrae and sternum although the ones at the bottom that float are only connected to the vertebrae.
Arms and legs are very similar in structure. They both have 3 bones. The names of the bones in your arms are ulna, radius and humerus. The bones your legs are the femur, fibula and tibia. The femur is the largest bone in your body.

Joints are small pieces that keep your bones together. There are 2 types of joints. Ball and socket have full circulation. This type of joint is in your arms and legs. The next joint is your hinge joint. They move both ways Example; elbow and knee.
It is quite easy to look after your bones. You can eat and drink dairy products for calcium and get vitamin D from the sun.
