On Sunday 4th of September Tipperary played Kilkenny in the All Ireland final in Croke Park. I went to Croke Park and sat in the Davan Stand.

Tipp got the first point through Seamie Callanan but it was all Kilkenny until the 26th minute when Callanan pointed to put us into the lead. At half time it was Tipp 0-14 Kilkenny 0-12. The second half got underway and almost instantly Kilkenny scored a goal through Kevin Kelly. It was KK 1-14 Tipp 0-15. Tipp then scored four points without reply and it was the 48th minute when 'Bubbles' O' Dwyer broke the deadlock to score a terrific goal, rifling it into the bottom corner. Tipperary ran away with it in the end scoring another goal from John McGrath. Richie Hogan scored a goal  less than 60 seconds later. At this stage it was all chaotic and scores were coming left right and center until finally referee Brian Gavin blew the final whistle. Tipp had won their first All Ireland since 2010!

I was so overjoyed to see Tipperary annihilate Kilkenny by nine points. Earlier on the Tipp Minors won the All Ireland so it was a great day for Tipperary Hurling.
