On Friday 31st of January, Bonner Maher and Brian Hogan visited Redwood N.S. with the Liam McCarthy Cup.
When they arrived we sang “Being From Tipperary” by the Two Johnnies, after we played “Sleivenamon” on the tin whistle. Earlier that week we had prepared player profiles on all the Lorrha hurlers who had made the Senior Tipperary Hurling, so we read them out.
Then we asked them questions about when they train, how old were they when they started hurling, about their life growing up and about their hurling career.
Finally we went outside and took pictures with Bonner, Brian and the Liam McCarthy Cup.
It was a great day and I hope they visit again next year with the cup. By Sophie Houlihan 6th class
