The word toad in Irish is buaf.
 
Toads eat worms, insects, spiders and flies. Toads have no teeth so they swallow their food whole. Toads hunt for their prey at night
 
Toads live in tropical regions such as Australia, New Guinea, New Zealand and Madagascar Toads can live farther away from water than frogs can.
 
Toads have leathery skin, fat bodies and toads have warts and are slimy.
 
Fun Fact a group of toads is called a knot.
