The Irish for cat is cat (pronounced cot).

A cat is a small, domesticated, carnivorous, mammal with soft fur, a short snout, and retractable claws.

Some people build little homes for cats, but most people just keep them in their homes.

Cats like to hunt rodents (rats and mice) and meat. Some people say that cats can’t taste sweetness.

Kittens are young cats and are very popular pets. They don’t open their eyes for 7-10 days and they are deaf for the same length of time. A male kitten/cat is called a Tom (a gip once neutered) and a female is a Queen. A group of cats is called a clowder.

Some different cat habits are playing aggressively, hunting, grooming and face rubbing.

Here are some other facts about cats, Cats are the most popular animals in the USA, there are 88 million. Cats sleep 70% of their lives. Cats have over 20 muscles in their ears. The world’s largest cat measured was 48.5 inches long.
