On Friday the 31st of January, Bonner and Brian came to our school to show us the Liam Mc Carthy cup and the James Nowlan cup that the Tipperary Senior and u21 team won in the All-Ireland Hurling Final back in August.
Firstly, we all got ready and everyone waited impatiently for them to arrive. When they arrived we all started to sing ‘Being from Tipperary’ by the Two Johnnies. We then played Slievenamon on our Tinwhistle.
A few minutes later, we asked Bonner and Brian questions that we had prepared. Some of the questions we asked were, what was their diet? What type of hurl do they have? What size hurl do they have? And I asked, who was their favourite Hurling Manager since they started to play with Tipperary? Bonner said Declan Ryan and Liam Sheedy and Brian said Mike Ryan.
After we had all asked our questions. We went outside to get photos with our parents with the Liam Mc Carthy and the James Nowlan cup and with Bonner and Brian. After everyone had got their photo, Bonner and Brian had to go onto another school.
I really enjoyed the visit from Bonner and Brian. I most enjoyed asking them questions. I hope Tipperary win the All-Ireland Final this year. 😀
