: On the 2nd of November 2015, David McEvoy a member of The Irish Heart Foundation came into the school to teach us how to do CPR. He thought us how to give the 30 compressions and the two breaths.
If you need to give breaths to a friend or stranger you have to use a CPR mask, but if you are doing it to a relative you don't have to use a mask. We used an AED. An AED is a portable device that checks the heart and can send an electric shock to the heart to help restore normal heart rythm. We only used a replica AED that couldn't sent the shock but we still learned from it.
The CPR course was really interesting and I was privileged to learn how to do it. We all completed level 1 in Defibrillator training.
