I’m a Viperfish

Picture
It was the night before my 11th birthday; I was fishing with my dad. We were on the way home. My dad was asleep. I was driving and I stopped; I caught a fish.

Suddenly I fell overboard. I turned into a viperfish. I started to explore. A shark was chasing me. I swam as fast as I could. I escaped. I swam out of the water; I was a human. Dad was an eel.
Then I woke up and it was all a dream!

      The end.

The Two Goblin Sharks

I was fishing with my dog when I heard my phone ringing, I went to check it out. While my dog was still there I suddenly heard a thud. I ended the call immediately and sprinted to my dog to see if he was ok.

I saw my dog splashing in the water. I tried to pull him back up, but I couldn’t get a grip on him. I jumped in the water to try and save him but I couldn’t. I saw two giant Goblin Sharks heading towards me. I tried to get back up but my hands were too slippery. They each tightly gripped my arms, I didn’t know where my dog went. I couldn’t breathe, I head-butted them and then I swam back to safety.

I'm a Blobfish, Helpp!!!!

So it all started with a big bang but that’s beside the point. I’ve turned into a Blobfish after I ate a McDouble with onions and pickles. And not to brag but I also had a McFlurry, oh oh and I can’t forget about the orange fruit shoot.
I’m getting side tracked again, so I used to be a bright purple lantern fish. AND NOW I AM A BLOBFISH, an ugly jelly boneless sack of goop with eyes and a mouth.
So I did the only logical thing, I swam up to the surface and walked to Dr. Fahy's Portumna but for some reason they all screamed, so by that point I accepted my faith and went to Aldi and bought a pack of eclairs and some apple turnovers oh and some of that tuna stuff. Anyways that was my day.

On last Saturday Redwood Senior Room went to take part in the Peace Proms. The concert was in UL.

We all got ready for the journey. I had a shower and got dressed and got dinner and went to Moatfield.

My favourite was song was 'Unstoppable.' The conductor lifted his pinkey and every one stood up. The orchestra was very good.

After the Peace Proms  we went to Macdonald’s.

I want to do it again!

On the 6th of March my class had chess.
We travelled by bus and on the bus I felt excited and happy.

When we were getting ready we played practice games. For the last ten  minutes of practice I played another game.

When we played our first game I was a sub, I played another sub. I lost but it was great fun.

I won the second game. I won the third game. The next two I lost. I won the last game.

When it was over we went on the bus to the school. We went home and I felt very happy.

On the first of March, we went to Peace Proms in Limerick, UL.
We got ready and had to wear a white shirt and black pants.

We went by bus and got collected at 4:30pm in Moatfield and before that we had dinner.

After that, we went up for the rehearsal. We got there and rehearsed, and after that we had lunch.

We waited around and then, it was time for the show, then it started and there was a big crowd and a big orchestra. Then we had to sing and it was burning hot. There were Irish dancers, singers and people with bag pipes.

On the bus drive home there was very little people. We got home at around 12:00. I enjoyed it and would like to do it again.

On Saturday the 1st of March the senior room from Redwood N.S travelled by bus to the Limerick Peace Proms Concert in UL.

The bus left from Moatfield at quarter past four. We had to get there before the concert started to do a rehearsal and eat before the audience got there.

When we got there we put our hoodies, coats and lunch in bags. The rehearsal lasted about an hour, then we ate lunch and got to play outside. The concert started at 8 pm and ended at 10:30 pm.

The audience started pouring in. I went down to see my mam and dad before it started, it was very warm and loud. At the end they played 1990 hits.

Overall the concert was good and I had a great time (:

On the 1st of March the senior room in Redwood N.S took part in the Peace Proms 2025 Concert in UL.

At around 4:00 in the we all left Moatfield on bus to travel all the way to Limerick, UL. After about an hour on driving we arrived to UL. We got inside and sat in our seats and waited for the rehearsal.

When the rehearsal started we began going through all the songs. It took around an hour and a half to finish. After the rehearsal we got to eat our lunch, and about half way through our lunch the audience in front of us began filling up.

Then the concert started, in between almost all our songs the orchestra would play a song without us singing so we could we could take a break and have a drink. We sang for 2 and a half hours. Near the end almost the whole choir was jumping and the bleachers were shaking.

Then the concert finally ended. Instead of going home on the bus I was dropped off by Arthur. On the way home we got Burger King. When I got home it was around 12:30 AM so then I went to sleep.
THE END!!!
Overall I had a good evening and I had a good time

On the 1st of March 2025, the senior class in Redwood N.S, travelled by bus to UL.

We were in our cars waiting for the bus to arrive. When the bus came we went onto it, ready for the concert.

At UL, we put our coats and jumpers into plastic bags. When we were up on the stands the kids started to stomp twice and clap doing ‘We Will Rock You.’ It was really fun. Then the conductor Greg came into the lights as we were practising our songs. Then it started, the audience were good but there was way more of them than the kids in the choir.

My favourite songs were ‘Moments we Live For’, ‘Hey Brother’ and ‘No Limits’ because the audience joined in.  They did a raffle also to win a giant pink teddy bear or 100quid, they raised €350,000.

My thoughts were that it was really fun, loud and too many lights but I liked the bag-pipes, dancers and singers. It was four years since I did it last, in 2021. It was better than four years ago.

Féile Fichille Tournament

On the 6th of March, the older class went to a Féile Fichile chess tournament.

We left for the tournament on the bus at 8:30. It was loud but full of laughter on the bus. When we arrived, the school was quite big. It was a boys only school.

When we entered the school, there were many other schools there. We got a bench to put all our bags on, we had six games. I lost my first four but won the last two games.

I made 3 new friends there, they were kind and friendly, unfortunately I forgot their names but they were full of joy and kindness.

I enjoyed it so much and if I had a chance I would 100% go again!
