On the 30th of March Bishop Fintan Monaghan came to Redwood school to tell us what it's like to be a Bishop.
First we rehearsed songs for the Bishop's arrival. A few minutes later the Bishop arrived with Fr. Pat. Everybody started singing songs, we sang The lord he is my Shepard, The gathering song, Spirit filled day,and Fan the Flame.He showed us his crosier and his purple skull cap.
Then we asked him loads of questions about how he became a Bishop. He was born in Offaly. He brought in a half .jersey of Clare and Galway. Then we did prayers of the faithful it was all over too quickly.
It was a great experience to meet the Bishop. It's a once in a lifetime chance to meet him.
